Lets get active and connected mens weekend away @ Yarra Junction

No More Mister Nice Guy Group Lets get active men’s weekend way @ Camp Eureka

Dates: Friday 6th to 8th September 2019
Arrival: Between 4pm-10pm Friday
Finish: 5 pm Sunday

Optional: Beer/water and Parma at the local pub at 6 pm on Sunday 8th September

Location: 100 Tarrango Rd, Yarra Junction VIC 3797

Requirements: Open to members of the NMMNG Melbourne Chapter who have attended at least one meeting. There are two meetings to go until the weekend; sign up at Meetup.com https://www.meetup.com/nmmng-melbourne/

Purpose of these events is to
• Deepen our male relationships
• Form closer bonds with men
• Less talking and more doing.
• Getting out of the house
• Reconnect with people, not social media
• Free from drugs or alcohol
• Experience nature

At the heart, this NMMNG weekend is the opportunity is to join activities that are focused on men’s wellbeing. These workshops help men to be empowered in their masculinity through vulnerability, support, and a greater understanding of trust. Building friendship that is grounded in, it’s ok to be you and being held accountable for taking on the responsibility of building a life that gets one owns needs met and then contribute to their community.

COST $75 – INCLUDES:  email Garth@ten.training for bank details

Accommodation for Friday 4 pm to Sunday 5 pm – in “camp style” lodges and bunk beds

Food – set menu by camp organisers
If you have any special dietary requirements, please bring food with you.

If you cannot attend due to financial difficulties but wish to join us, email Garth (garth@ten.training) and we’ll come up with a payment plan.

All men are expected to be active and contribute to the container by:
• Running an activity
• Helping in the kitchen
• Keeping the fire going
• Keeping the camp neat and tidy.

• Survival and Martial Arts
• Yoga and Spiritual Healing
• Spotlight
• Cooking Classes
• More will be announced closer to the date.

Sleeping
Share huts just bedding if using a hut
Tent or swag +/- tarp, sleeping bag

Clothing
Pack for warmer days and cooler nights (could be 8 degrees +/- rain)
Mosquito repellent
Basics
Torch (+ spare batteries)
First aid kit (one will be present on site but you may wish to bring additional items.)

Cooking
Each man is responsible for his rubbish and special dietary food (if applicable)
It is our intention that food can be shared and cooked communally. Share the mystery!
The camp has a refrigerator and freezer storage
It’s a full kitchen so only bring the food that you need:
If you want to be part of the cooking team please email Taylor taylor.beaumontw@gmail.com and CC garth@ten.training. It is expected that everyone attending will contribute to each meal.

Additional
• Something comfortable to sit on +/- ground cover/sheet +/- extra cushions, beanbags, etc.
• Camping lights for larger spaces
• Folding chairs
• Anything else you believe could contribute to creating an awesome weekend, e.g. musical instruments, telescopes for stargazing, etc.

This event is a digital, drug, and alcohol-free
